Loitsukääty ( Spell-necklace) has been created from the inspiration of everflowing streams and chains of words. Spellcraft is an importantpart of the Finnish cultural heritage on the coast of the Baltic Sea. These Finns were known as mighty spellcasters - they could govern the powers of nature, submit beasts, manifest elves for aid, heal with words, cast the pain aside and stop the bloodflow. Spells were cast or sung by sages highly revered by the people. Spells were manifested in our ancestors’ everyday life alonside their mundane tasks.They entwined into weekdays and celebrations as small acts of reverence for the spirits of nature surrounding.These spells guaranteed them good hunting fortune, brought success and protected the one who casted them or a person targeted.
